Good Catch
Thai Urban Bistro
Food is love. Good Catch is Chef Aom Srisuk and husband Frankie Weinberg’s loving tribute to New Orleans, a space where Aom can bring forward her personal brand of Thai hospitality while embracing so much of our region’s abundance of fresh seafood. Here, you will find dishes and cocktails that are creative and fun, and, above all, authentic in flavor and cooking style.
Opened in January 2024, Good Catch is the younger sibling to Pomelo, the couple’s first restaurant, which debuted in 2021. Before moving to the United States, Chef Aom owned and operated restaurants for 15 years in her native Thailand. In 2017, she and Frankie—an author and professor—rekindled a long-lost love after Frankie’s sabbatical allowed him to revisit the region. Today, they invite you to experience their story and share in the warmth of Thai and New Orleans hospitality, one plate at a time.
CHEF AOM SRISUK
Owner & Executive Chef
Pomelo | Thai Boutique Restaurant
Good Catch | Thai Urban Bistro
Born in Thailand’s ancient capital city of Ayutthaya, Chef Aom brings a lifetime of culinary and entrepreneurial experience to every dish she serves. From her early days working in her mother’s restaurant in Bangkok to founding multiple successful businesses across Thailand—including top-rated Thai and Japanese restaurants serving locals, expats, and visitors—Aom has built a reputation for excellence, resilience, and hospitality rooted in love for her culture.
After relocating to the U.S., Aom launched Pomelo in 2021, a cozy neighborhood restaurant in Uptown New Orleans that quickly gained a loyal following for its authentic Thai specialties and thoughtful presentation. In 2024, she opened Good Catch, a bold and vibrant Thai bistro that feels like an oasis in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District, offering fresh Gulf-inspired dishes and craft cocktails in a coastal-inspired setting.
Chef Aom’s mission is simple and powerful: to share the joy, depth, and vibrancy of Thai food and culture with the New Orleans community. She sees every meal as a way to build connection, spark curiosity, and offer a heartfelt taste of Thailand.
